Mercy, a 90-year-old thrill-seeker from Wiltshire, is defying expectations and showing the world that age is just a number. With two skydives already under her belt—at the ages of 77 and 89—she’s now planning to jump again at 95!

But it wasn’t always smooth sailing for Mercy. In 2007, she underwent surgery to remove two tumors from her spine, which left her struggling to work. However, instead of letting that slow her down, she refused to let her life “stagnate.” Her response? Jumping out of a plane at 77. Classic Mercy!

In her own words: “My husband wasn’t too keen on the idea, but I was ready for something different. Life was starting to feel a bit flat, and I wanted an adventure.” And what an adventure it’s been! That first skydive was for charity, adding an extra layer of purpose to her already exhilarating experience.

Talking about her first jump, she said, “The moment the door opens, the cold air hits you, and the wind is wild, pushing you from side to side. But soon, you start to enjoy it. There’s nothing quite like it—one second you’re freefalling, and the next, the parachute opens, revealing the world below. It’s an experience like no other.”

And Mercy’s not stopping there! She firmly believes that “life begins at 60” and encourages everyone, regardless of their age, to chase their dreams. “Never let anyone make you feel like you can’t do something because of your age,” she says. “Because trust me, you can!”
